OLCG Whitening Strips: What They Are And UK Availability
Share
OLCG whitening strips are listed on Amazon's US store. When we read that listing on 10 October 2026, it described a pack of 14 treatments with a peroxide-free, chelating formula, "sodium hexametaphosphate with tetrapotassium pyrophosphate". The listing does not name PAP. On that date there was no OLCG listing on amazon.co.uk, and the US listing would not ship to a UK address.
This page sets out what the strips are in OLCG's own words, whether you can buy them in the UK, how their formula works compared with PAP, and what we could not check. We are Pure Glow and we sell our own whitening strips, so we are not a neutral party, which is why we have kept to the brand's own listing rather than to reviews, roundups or guesses. Where something could not be checked at source, such as a price or a rating, we have left it out.
Short answer for UK readers: when we checked on 10 October 2026, OLCG strips were not listed on amazon.co.uk, and the US listing would not ship to a UK address. If you want a peroxide-free strip you can buy here, ours are a PAP formula with hydroxyapatite, made for zero sensitivity, with free UK delivery. We also ship to the US and to selected EU countries.
What OLCG Whitening Strips Are
The listing we read is on amazon.com under the product code B0HHMN4HL4. Its byline reads "Brand: OLCG" and its detail block reads "Manufacturer: OLCG", so this is the brand describing its own product. The page gives its Date First Available as 1 August 2026.
Its title, word for word, is "Teeth Whitening Strips - Whitening Strips Kit (28 Strips,14 Treatment) - Teeth Whitening for Sensitive, Mint, White". The pack size is spelled out in the bullets: "This teeth whitening strip kit includes 14 treatments (28 strips). Each treatment comes with strips for both the upper and lower rows of teeth."
On what the strips are for, the listing says they are "Formulated for surface stains caused by coffee, tobacco, carbonated drinks, tea and wine", and that they "help support a brighter-looking smile". Those are OLCG's words about its own product, not ours.
The Formula OLCG's Listing Names
The listing's first bullet reads, in full:
"Our teeth-whitening strip formula combines sodium hexametaphosphate with tetrapotassium pyrophosphate. They help chelate calcium and magnesium ions on the enamel, break down the bond between stains and the enamel, and disperse pigment particles."
The listing also says the strips contain no peroxide: "Our teeth-whitening strips feature a gentle formula that does not contain hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide."
The listing does not name PAP (phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid). The formula its bullets describe is a chelating, stain-dispersing one, and that is what the mechanism section below works from.
The listing also has a separate Active Ingredients field, which reads "Coconut Oil, Sage Oil, Lemon Peel, Dead Sea Salt". We have not seen a pack, so if ingredients matter to you, check the box.
How The Listing Says To Use Them
The listing gives wear time in two places. Its bullets describe the strips "staying securely in place for up to 60 minutes" and ask you to avoid eating, sleeping or smoking while wearing one. Its Important Information panel gives these directions: "Apply upper and lower strips for 30 minutes once a day for four consecutive days, then once a week thereafter. Remove, rinse with water or brush after each use."
The pack is sold as 14 treatments, with a strip for the upper and the lower teeth in each. If you use them, follow the directions printed on the pack you receive.
Can You Buy OLCG Whitening Strips In The UK?
We checked on 10 October 2026. A search on amazon.co.uk for "OLCG teeth whitening strips" returned no OLCG listing. A search for "OLCG" alone returned no OLCG listing either, and OLCG did not appear in the brand filter. The US listing, opened with a UK delivery address, returned: "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location."
That is all those checks show. They are a snapshot of two Amazon stores on one day, not a statement about every UK shop or seller, and a listing can appear or change at any time.
Chelating And Oxidising: Two Different Mechanisms
The formula the listing names is worth understanding, because it belongs to a different chemical family from PAP and from peroxide.
To chelate is to bind a metal ion. OLCG's listing says its two phosphates "help chelate calcium and magnesium ions on the enamel, break down the bond between stains and the enamel, and disperse pigment particles". In other words, the listing describes acting on how stain is held to the tooth and on scattering pigment.
An oxidising whitener works on a different target. The American Dental Association describes peroxide bleaching like this: "The bleaching process is generally believed to occur when reactive oxygen molecules (generated from hydrogen peroxide) interact with organic chromophores (colored compounds) within enamel and dentin through a chemical oxidation process". The target there is the coloured compounds themselves, inside the tooth, rather than the bond between a stain and the surface.
PAP is also an oxidiser, working by a different reaction from peroxide. A 2026 laboratory study by Llena and colleagues in the Journal of Functional Biomaterials describes the percarboxylic acid group at the end of the PAP molecule as the part "which imparts the molecule's oxidative character", and says: "Unlike peroxides, the mechanism of action of PAP involves the epoxidation of conjugated double bonds within chromophores." The same paper states that "PAP does not generate free radicals during its activation." It is an in vitro study, which its authors say "does not fully replicate the complex oral environment", and it is about the ingredient, not about any brand's strips, ours included.
So the comparison here is one of mechanism, not of results. OLCG's listing describes its formula, in its own words, as breaking down "the bond between stains and the enamel" and dispersing "pigment particles". PAP is an oxidiser: it lifts surface stain, and it also works on the coloured compounds inside the tooth, by a gentler route than peroxide takes. We have not tested OLCG's strips, we have read no independent test of them, and we make no claim about how well they work, in either direction.
If you are weighing up the whole field rather than one brand, our guide to your teeth whitening options covers the UK routes, from a dentist to the products you use yourself, and what named sources say about each.
Where PAP Strips Like Ours Sit
Our PAP whitening strips use phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid as the active, and the back of our box describes "pre-applied gel and advanced oxidising ingredients". They are peroxide free, and they do two jobs: they lift surface stain, and they work on the coloured compounds inside the tooth, by a gentler route than peroxide takes. The claim on our box is up to 6 shades whiter in 14 days, depending on your starting shade. Our explainer on how PAP whitening works sets out the chemistry in more detail.
"Peroxide free" describes the ingredient, not the effect, and that distinction is the subject of our page on peroxide-free whitening strips. Our formula is enamel safe, and it also carries hydroxyapatite, a mineral found in tooth enamel, which supports the enamel surface; the page on hydroxyapatite whitening strips explains why it is there.
Every ingredient printed on our box, from PVP to menthol, is listed in the full ingredients on our facts page.
Our own directions come from the box: brush, dry your teeth with a towel, apply the smaller lower strip first and then the upper, and leave them on for a minimum of 30 minutes. That is one treatment a day for the 14 days of our 28 strip box.
What We Could Not Check
- A price. We could not verify one from the listing, so there is none on this page.
- Reviews or a rating. The listing, first available on 1 August 2026, had no customer reviews when we read it.
- Who makes the strips. The listing says "Manufacturer: OLCG". We have nothing further we could verify.
- What the pack says. We read the listing, not a box or a sachet, so we cannot say what the packaging lists.
- How well the strips work. We have not tested them, have read no independent test, and make no claim either way.
